Anime Review: Mikakunin de Shinkoukei

Yes, I know it’s not like me to watch a love comedy anime but hey, I watched School Rumble before and I loved it. This time, I would like to recommend a new anime broadcasting this season called Mikakunin de Shinkoukei. Mikakunin de Shinkoukei’s story revolves around Yonomori Kobeni, a pink hair high school girl, who seems can do it all but kept a low profile around her. Not to Kobeni’s knowledge that the Mitumine household has a marriage arrangement with one of the family member of the Yonomori household, Yonomori Kobeni.

It is Mitsumine Hakuya, a boy who lives in the countryside where Kobeni used to live that comes to Kobeni’s house to announce that he is Kobeni’s fiancee. It was to Kobeni’s knowledge that her grandfather has mandated the marriage between Hakuya and Kobeni in the future. So, from there our story begins.

Boy, Japan has the most complete imaginations ever painted into an anime masterpiece. If you guys are looking for a light romantic story with lots of comedy in it, Mikakunin de Shinkoukei can be a nice fulfillment for your needs. I think there are two aspects that makes me watch this anime:

Representing Miyauchi Renge version 2.0, Mitsumine Mashiro.

Second, I think the chemistry between Yonomori Kobeni and Mitsumine Hakuya brews some sweet romantic scene. Hakuya is a little bit of an airhead but where it comes to Kobeni’s interest, Hakuya can be a good support to cheer Kobeni up. I think cliche is the new sexy here. Kobeni seems to slowly accept Hakuya in her everyday life and I like her personality. Probably, Kobeni is the second character I think puts the reason of me watching the anime.

In the end, I think this anime is very recommendable if you are seeking anime with a light romantic touch and lots of hilarious comedy situation. Oh I forgot to mention, since Mitsumine Mashiro lives in the countryside, there are a few of hilarious culture shock scene where she is not used to the city life.
